{{Infobox song|image=Flight.jpg|name=The Flight|type=Album|artist=[[CombustLem]]<br>lil herb<br>[[Mr. brighftsid3]]<br>[[LimeKingVR]]<br>teesuper, [[Hexfate]]<br>[[Chair]]<br>[[Traceful]]|release_date=March 29 2025|length=12:03|producer=CombustLem|previous_title=[[Super Critters]]|previous_year=2025}} '''The Flight''' is the second album by the [[Mike's Birthday Bash (group)|Mike's Birthday Bash group]], released on March 29, 2025. The album expands on the absurdist lore and surreal in-jokes established in their debut, ''[[Super Critters]]'', incorporating inside jokes, fake companies, and cryptic references. It is named after an elaborate bit in which Lime and Lem gaslit Hexfate into believing Lime was flying to Washington to meet her. == Concept == ''The Flight'' centers loosely around the fictional airline '''MixMyFlights''', a parody of real-world music service MixMyPart.com, founded by [[Andrew St. Hilaire]]. The album serves as a journey through a surreal flight. The lore of the "Flight 221 Explosion" and the deeper mystery of MixMyFlights is explored further in the unreleased The Flight Movie. == Track Listing == # '''The Flight''' – Featuring a bizarre and explicit verse by lil herb. Includes themes of plane bathrooms, turbulence, and fame. # '''YUMMY''' – A previously unreleased track created during the making of ''Super Critters'', repurposed for this album. # '''MixMyFlights''' – Hexfate performs an in-character flight safety announcement for the fake MixMyFlights airline. # '''pErcocets''' – teesuper raps about putting Hexfate “on a Perc.” A chaotic spiritual successor to “pASt.” Purely satirical; Hexfate does not do drugs. # '''Who’s this''' – Originally featured an edited audio, replaced with “I am Hexfate.” # '''Baggage Claim''' – A filler-yet-funny track with teesuper freestyling about airport luggage. # '''Welcome to Vegas''' – LimeKingVR raps about gambling in Vegas. Features an in-song fight between Traceful and Lime, ending in Lime winning back all her money after a final gamble. == Album Art == The cover of ''The Flight'' is a screenshot of '''^LimeAirlinesPlane''', a Rec Room map created by [[LimeKingVR]] on April 8, 2018. The plane became a symbolic piece of group history and perfectly represented the album’s chaotic aviation theme. == Personnel == * '''Lem''' – Production, vocals, lore writing * '''LimeKingVR''' – Rap vocals, flight lore, cover art * '''Hexfate''' – Spoken word, character performance, voice cracks * '''teesuper''' – Rap vocals, freestyle segments * '''Traceful''' – Conflict voice acting in “Welcome to Vegas” * '''Brightside''' – Background audio and mic glitches * '''Chair''' – Logistics, server management == Legacy == ''The Flight'' elevated the group's fictional universe, introducing: * '''MixMyFlights''', the satire airline * '''The Flight Movie''', an unreleased movie based on the fictional Flight 221 incident, leaked by Steve Harvey with his alt account "@steveharveyleaks" * '''Flight 221 Explosion''', the fictional disaster referenced in the The Flight Movie * '''[[Andrew St. Gunner]]''', the group's parody remix artist channel * Continued expansion of Hexfate’s voice crack mythology == Notable Lyrics == * “Relief on the way, in this bathroom flight” * “Ball is slowin’ down, man, I swear it's lookin' right / Lands on black, guess I’m walkin’ home tonight” * “You looking at me / I’m running to the toilet and I hope that y’all don’t see” == Reception == <nowiki>''The Flight'' was officially released on major streaming platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube Music, quickly gaining widespread acclaim both within and beyond the Mike's Birthday Bash community. It is widely regarded as the group'</nowiki>s best and most ambitious album to date, praised for its innovative blend of rap, experimental production, and layered storytelling. == Trivia == * ''MixMyFlights'' is based on [[Andrew St. Hilaire]]'s real service MixMyPart.com. * The song “Who’s this” was almost scrapped after controversy, but was salvaged with a voice re-edit. * “Welcome to Vegas” features a full narrative arc, including a fight and character development. * A third album, titled '''Christmas in July''', is in production. * The rumored ''The Flight Movie'' may someday expand on the flight lore, including the 1996 explosion of Flight 221.
